Norwood fair, the heartbeat of our community. As each year comes around the fair reaches out yet again to touch so many lives, not just in Norwood but province wide.

From the army of volunteers that assemble the fair over the weeks before Thanksgiving to the wrap up of putting everything away afterward for the winter, all of which is skillfully managed and choreographed, for a sense of quiet accomplishment.

We have a multitude of exhibitors that spend countless hours preparing their entries, demonstrating their passion and love for their handicrafts. We are so fortunate to have such a committed and diverse range of exhibitors.

The fair expresses its character not only through the people but also the sights, sounds and smells.  The Saturday mid-day parade down the maple lined streets, the cacophony of the midway and the aromas of our favorite fair (treats/snacks)

are just some of characteristics that bring our fair to life.  Our combination of exhibitors, vendors and entertainment brings a unique (feeling/flavor/theme) to our fair that distills the essence of a community, family, and fall fair.

Here the fair reaches out to the thousands of visitors to bring happiness, magical moments and fond nostalgic memories of Thanksgiving's past.

Even though I am writing this address in March, I can feel the slow gentle heartbeat of the fair as it slumbers in the form of planning committees, winter homecraft projects and vegetable planting plans.

The Norwood fair thrives on the multitude of happy smiling faces we see leaving the grounds at the end of each day. This recharges us to re-energize for next year's fair.
